About
A few things to be said about me as an artist...
I value my inner musical language and do not ever compromise just to reach more listeners. It is my honest belief that the listeners are just as musical and open minded as the composers in this world, that is if they are given the chance to be. I need them and they need me and together we try to push the definitions of what music is supposed to sound like out of the box. When I started writing music it was my sanctuary, a way to find peace in a not always so peaceful world. Nowadays it has turned into a journey that takes me to new, exciting and rewarding places. To embrace many genres in my music comes as naturally to me as recognizing the many personalities I carry within.
A brief history...
Victoria was born in Södertälje, Sweden on March 21st, 1975 to Uruguayan parents. She grew up in various regions of Sweden and composed her first song on guitar at the age of 8. Victoria settled in Stockholm in
her early 20's by which time her songwriting had become a serious pursuit and she began to test her sound and production ideas with various musicians. Her main instruments are guitar and piano but, for Victoria, all instruments represent a new universe to explore.
She has been writing music continuously in the time since and Victoria has previously released the singles “I Never Needed You More” and “Sunshine In Your Hair” both of which have been played on various European radio stations including the BBC’s Mark Lamarr and Jonathan Ross programs.
Collaborations have played a big part in the search for her own musical language. To grow and share experiences with other people has allowed her to feel free from genres and overcome fear and obstacles that every artist will find on their path. This method has served her well and is something she looks forward to continuing...
